August 10, 2007
By: Collin

What you will need:
Plexiglas (Does not have to be installed on case)
Etching Tool
A Design of some sort
Goggles or safety glasses
Hearing protecting
Helping Hands (Optional)

Summary:
In this tutorial I will show you how to etch a design on your window
to make your case one-of-a-kind and really stand out!

STEP 1:

Pick a good spot to etch out the lettering.
Here is a picture of my computer. I plan on etching some wording into the upper
window. I even made a little diagram of where I'm planning on etching it in.

STEP 2:

Get all your safety equipment. I am going to use some ear plug and glasses just in case.

STEP 3:

Print out your design. But make sure to print it out backwards! If you don't
print out your design backwards it will read backwards when you are done etching it!
For my design I typed out "The Beast" my machine's nickname. I used
TERMINATOR NFI REAL font
you can find it here: Direct Windows TrueType Download

After you get your design tape it on the opposite side of the window
where you plan on etching it in. You can also lay your window down on a
cloth to protect it form scratch on a hard surface.

STEP 4:

This is how my etching it turning out so far: not too bad! It is really time consuming
and tedious but the results will be well worth all the effort!

If you didn't know what Helping Hands are, I use them during this project
to help me etch more precisely. If you would like to look at or order a set of
helping hands: Click Here!

STEP 5:

After a hour or so.. All done! The result looks great. (I accidentally scratched
the plexi a little bit) Now you have a badass one-of-a-kind custom design
etched on your case! I hope yours turns out as good as mine or better
